Hello hello :D
Lol... After months of disappearance, I am once again back to typing. Or rather, ranting.
Quick update:
I am currently in Singapore, and I will be here until July. My purpose here is to do a little soul searching and also to learn what the trading industry is like. An old family friend was kind enough to take me into her care for a month, and she was also willing to let me learn a thing or two in her company. Just so if you're interested to know what is her company dealing with, you can always drop by this website www.antonioclub.com
I have yet to meet up with any of the friends besides pilot #1. Was hoping to meet all 3 of them, I wonder whether pilot #2 and #3 still remembers me? Lol!Self update:
Its been a stressful and rough disappearance. I had problems from relationships with the friends and partner, to work, family.. And lastly, issues with myself. It’s been a bumpy ride, but at the end of the day... All that is you could possibly do is to pick yourself up and move on in life. Leave the past behind, and go forward. The ghost of past will haunt you, but remain focus and stick to the path you once paved. No one said the journey was going to be easy, but it would be a great experience. This week's update:
Today's my 6th day in Singapore. I'm still trying to get used to the environment here. I haven't been out and about in Singapore yet, but I can pretty much feel the difference between us Malaysians and the Singaporeans already.- The company recently posted an advertisement for a job vacancy to recruit store assistants and lorry drivers. I received a couple of phone calls regarding the vacancy, and I was amazed that all of these callers spoke FLUENT English. Seriously, I know I'm a Grade A stereotyper.. But in Malaysia, lorry drivers or store keepers can barely utter a proper sentence in english. The ones here speak as if they were requesting for a CEO or Managers level... I think Malaysia should really consider making English as our mother language. LOL! Even a lorry driver can speak better english than our Marketing Exec in my previous company. What a disgrace.
- I've never seen a Singaporean girl walk out the streets without her hair in place and her face without a single touch of make up. Men here are so metrosexual. It's quite hard to differentiate whether they're half gay if they don't speak. People here bother and take the extra effort to look good. Seriously, office girls here dress like it's SEX IN THE CITY ASIAN STYLE. haha... Kid you not.
- The life pace here is very much faster than KL. Everyone here complains that there isn't enough time and lots of OTs. Singaporeans take their jobs very seriously. Maybe it's because Malaysians adapted the Relak-lah culture. So we tend to take things for granted?
Today's update:
Went to have dinner and catch "Night at the Museum 2" with pilot #1 today. I was hoping to watch "Drag Me to Hell" but erased that thought after considering I had to take the bus and walk a certain distance home by myself. The thing about staying here is that, it's so inconvenient. LOL!Singapore may be a safe country and provides it's best MRT and bus facilities, but I would still love to drive my car around the city.
I was so amazed with my bravery today, that I think I deserve to be given a star or a badge to be hung onto my wall. I took a bus home at 1215 in the morning and took 10minutes to walk back home. Half the time I kept looking back to see if there were any pervs or theives who like to try my fist of death wtf. And half the other times I was hoping not to run into something that looked human, but only half invisible. If you get what I mean. LOL!
I wanted to take a taxi straight back to home, but the thought of paying S$17 was a bit too much. LOL! Apparently, I wasn't thinking about how dangerous it was to walk alone at night. I was thinking, "lets see how safe Singapore is" wtf. I would NEVER do that in KL. Like seriously, over my dead body.
I boarded a familiar bus number, and asked the driver whether it would take me to my destination. The driver looked at me like he was my father. I wasn't very sure where I lived. All I knew was to take a bus that would've gotten me onto a certain road. Look out for the green sign, stop there, cross the bridge and walk back home. When I told the driver I was going to walk home, he sort of freaked out and asked for my number. LOL! So I supposed, perhaps Singapore isn't exactly that safe huh?
Anyway, the fact I'm able to rant this on my blog means I got home safely without a single scratch :)
But I don't think I would be doing this anymore.. I may not run into burglars or rapists, but I definitely do not want to run into things that would haunt my memories. Wooooo~~~
Gnite.
